The Atto 3 is offered in Australia across four grades. Standard Range Essential is the entry point at $39,990. Evo Dynamic sits above it at $41,990, Extended Range Premium lists at $44,990, and Evo Premium tops the range at $46,990.

All four are electric 4-door wagons. Standard Range Essential, Evo Dynamic and Extended Range Premium are front-wheel drive; Evo Premium, the range-topper, switches to rear-wheel drive.

Pros

• All four grades sit a long way under the $75,000 FBT threshold that applies from April 2027, with plenty of margin for options and on-road costs.
• Comfortably clear of the luxury car tax threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles, so eligibility for the full FBT exemption is not in doubt before April 2027.
• A four-grade spread, from Standard Range Essential to the rear-wheel-drive Evo Premium, gives more choice than most compact electric SUVs at this price point.

Cons

• Power output and seating configuration are not yet published for the Atto 3 in this guide — confirm these directly with a dealer before deciding between grades.
• No all-wheel-drive option currently offered on this nameplate in Australia — Evo Premium is rear-wheel drive, not AWD.

Battery electric vehicles under the luxury car tax threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles ($91,387, rising to $91,661 from 1 July 2026) are exempt from fringe benefits tax when packaged through a novated lease. That exemption is being phased out in two steps.

• Until 31 March 2027 — full exemption, unchanged, for any Atto 3 grade under the luxury car tax threshold.
• From 1 April 2027 — full exemption continues only for electric vehicles under $75,000. Above that, up to the luxury car tax threshold, a 25% FBT discount applies instead.
• From 1 April 2029 — the full exemption ends. A 25% discount applies to all eligible vehicles.

Leases already in place are grandfathered: a lease entered into before a phase start date keeps its treatment for the term.

Where each grade sits: Standard Range Essential ($39,990 RRP, $43,597 drive-away), Evo Dynamic ($41,990 RRP, $45,657 drive-away), Extended Range Premium ($44,990 RRP, $48,747 drive-away) and Evo Premium ($46,990 RRP, $50,847 drive-away) all sit a long way under the $75,000 line, so every grade keeps the full exemption right through the April 2027 change and only moves to the 25% discount from April 2029.
